  • Hello Everyone !!  It was nice to have a visit from some loved ones from far away.   Our family is all doing well, we are busy with  church, school, sports and everyday living.  We are very thankful that my brother Eddie and his son were not seriously injured in their car accident.  Eddie will be having more tests done to determine why he has swelling in his neck.

My 11 year old Danielle is really enjoying middle school and she has made lots of new friends, Kelli my 10 year old is enjoying 5th grade, playing the clarinet in the band and being a starter on her competitive soccer team.  Hunter will be turning 9 on Sunday and he is in the 3rd grade, he also plays soccer and will be starting basketball in January.  Than there are my two younger ones Taylor Nicole, who is 4 and is the princess and sassy all at the same tim, than Cody oh my he is 2 and full of life, and we would not have him any other way.  Taylor also goes to preschool and plays soccer.  Cody wants to go to preschool and he has learned some soccer moves from attending so many soccer games.  Roger is busy with work and trying to get projects done at home.  Well it is a small update, but at least I finally did one.

  • For Hotwire1

My Uncle M needs an update , maybe liz324 will do the same.  Liz are you expecting if you are congrats !!  Anyways on Tuesday, June 10th my mom had a partial knee replacement, and is home now trying to recoup.  She has been in alot of pain since the surgery, so keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

My children are out of school for the summer so are activities will slow down a little, this past year we have been very busy with the children and their acitivities of soccer, softball, swim lessons and xylophone concerts.  Tomorrow is Dani's last softball game and of course Kelli and soccer practice at the same time in a different town 16 miles away.  So Roger will take Dani and I will take Kelli and than after practice Kelli is on to  a birthday party sleepover.  Taylor is really wanting to get back into swim lessons so I may sign her up for a swim camp.  Later this month the children have vacation bible school and of course Kelli has a soccer tournament in Portland on one of those days so here we go again rush off to another activity.

I heard today that my brother Eli and his family from Maryland will be visiting my mom and dad in a couple weeks, it would be nice to only be 10 hours away instead of 2300 miles, and believe I would really like to be anywhere but Oregon right now since it is full blown allergy season for me.   Picture 175

  •   Well my big fundraising weekend is over and it was a big success.  We had over a 1000 people at the Harlem All Stars basketball game with Meadow Lark Lemon (an orginial globetrotter,) Hollywood Brown who was also on the globetrotters and Sonny Watson a former NBA player.  I had the opportunity to have dinner with the players on several occasions while they were in town.  They are all very nice and polite and they put on a really good show.  I do not have the totals yet as to how much money we raised for the family but I know for sure that it is over $11,000 so I will let you know when we get the totals in.  The morning of the game Les "Pee Wee" Harrison called me on my cell and told me that he would be presenting my friend an award for her fundraising efforts for her family and he asked me to pick up 2 bouquets of flowers.  I was a little curious why he needed 2, so he presented her the community service award and her flowers and than he said that every superstar needed a sidekick so in front of over 1000 people he called me up front and gave me the other flowers and as he handed them to me he said sorry you bought your own flowers.  But thats ok it was really neat to see the turnout for the game and just being able to help my friend accomplish something so big and we are already planning for next years game.  It sounds like this will be an annual event.  Well my children are in bed so I guess I should be too.  Goodnight for now.
